Caption: Lazily plowed streets and crunchy snow underfoot, a nippy December afternoon at Dundas West Subway Station finds TTC PCC 4742 (one of 48 "A-13" class cars acquired secondhand from Birmingham, Alabama in 1952) operating on the King route heading back east across town to Broadview subway station, having just departed the station onto Edna Ave. Following behind is a 43/4400-series PCC operating a Dundas car to City Hall loop. Still at the station, a relatively newer Flyer E700 trolleybus on the 40 Junction route waits to depart for Runnymede Loop south of the CPR yards in The Junction. The vehicles have changed and the trolleybuses have been replaced by diesel buses, but much of this scene remains the same 45 years later.
