A Tuesday after a holiday weekend....eastbound 148 with a pair of NS GE's trailing. This pic was easy..out the front door..up the hill...point and shoot. Not sure why they needed a fence built when the tracks were separated by a large berm. Highway 403 in the background

  1. That’s cool you live or lived that close!

  2. I think the railroad is CN and the power is IC.
Not sure why they need a fence? Really?

  3. Oh Phil…picky picky …hadn’t had my second coffee yet. I was referring to the unit ownership. Fence, well the back of the berm is fenced where no one ventures ( trust me no one climbs up it here)…yet..beyond the berm….its completely open. Kinda dumb ofr the money spent and the placement.

In other matters…are you still on your sabbatical ?

  4. LOL@snake :-) You need 2 cups of coffee to start your day young fella?
As for the fencing. You would be surprised to see where people show up on railroad tracks. Sometimes we wonder just how they get to some locations.

Yes sir still on the sabbatical. Just got back from the South Pacific.
    Missing my trains though.

  5. @ngineered4u:

-Sabbatical = the summer off… fun not having work after what feels like a 100 years.

-sabbatical rolling over to the fall: Gee this is kinda nice not having to work.

-sabbatical rolling into the next year = weight gain. Never gonna work again.

    Geez Phil..we’ll be staring down 2018 soon…

  6. LOL @snake..don’t give up your day job for stand up comedy mister! :-)

Sabbatical= summer off and not being on call 24/7
sabbatical rolling over to the fall: Missing trains and co workers. Tough to walk away from after 36 yrs.
