Out back of PEI's CN diesel shop when I stopped in to check out the facilities was old CN #40, a 600 HP 70-Tonner. This must have been about the end for her, as I not only could not find out what eventually happened to her, but it was hard enough even to find a photo. With a boarded up window, a pilfered lamp and the stack capped; I guess she was on her last legs and probably ended up somewhere at a scrapper. But would like to know for sure. The demise of this unit left only 30, 35 and 41 operating. And their days were very numbered.
