It would appear that extra power was needed to get train 431 up the Escarpment today. GP38 #2008 and GP35 #2500 are seen helping the usual pair of SD40s used on this weeks trains, as the power digs into the grade at Limehouse. Heat vapour from the units has distorted  almost everything in the background.

  1. The narrow R/W here has really trapped the exhaust scintillation. It’s even blurring the top edges of the trees. Great perspective Marcus on a hard working train. :-)

  2. Thanks! I’ve always liked the shot here, hopefully the fall colours will be good here as well.
