Ahh Beachville road - this road certainly has stories to tell - and hundreds of photographers to tell the story. Before OSR made railfans mad about trains on Beachville road, you'd visit here to chase the Frame Train - Train 141 was a predictable, Monday-Saturday early afternoon run. You could chase to Ingersoll, beyond that, good luck as they wasted no time to get back to St Thomas. Add to this movements TK21 and TK12 and Cami extras as required this line was good for about 4 to 6 CP movements a day, plus the two CN movements in Ingersoll. Not bad for a sleepy little Branchline eh?
With a pair of GP9's this was a typical train - in this case consecutively numbered GP9's, clickty-clacking down the track with the crew less than an hour from their home terminal. OSR President Jeff Willsie was often found on this job too when he still worked for CP.

  1. I remember this day well!

  2. Beautiful photo Steve !

  3. I wish we did more outings David! What a great day. Thanks Curtis, glad you like it. David and I were Branchline guys at the time and the mainline was more of an afterthought.. except of course, we did make sure to go for NS on the Dundas.
