For those who know this area, the CP mainline looking westward at the eastbound train off the side of the Hwy 6 overpass in Puslinch, is one peaceful green scene back in 1976. Now, the area is over-run with farm equipment buildings and anything else country commercial. This shot is definitely worthy of a time machine effort. In this view we see CP 5538 and 4706 with a long long string of boxcars.......something else we see little of any more. Pity it was a dreary day, but it was a day off work, and back then the weather was a minor hindrance.

  1. Very nice, Arnold. Loved that original CP Rail candy striped scheme. Good lookin’ multi- armed pole line and utility building. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Another place with a similar view is at the overpass on the CN at Watford.

Something tells me either road should have Heritage Units. Great photo :)

  3. Well Todd; CP has come thru with the Heritage Units. The jury is out on CN though. :o )
