Caption: At first I thought the caption for this old station would be straight forward, but now I am not so sure. I went to forthjunction.ca/cpr and the information concerning this one-of-a-kind station is as follows: "It was a new Special WF (woodframe) station when built in 1911. Closed in 1968 and demolished in 1978." The photo is from 1976, meaning the structure has been closed 8 years, but it certainly does not look it. It has to have been used for something, heck, the windows are clean and not broken, and even the blade is still up. Looks a bit better than a MoW hangout. The station was replicated exactly in 2007, situated across the tracks from the original location on the old Calgary and Edmonton Railway. The new version is used as an office building. Comments and/or information appreciated.

I’m glad you stopped and photo’d this before it was gone. In all my pictures, I only took pics of 3 stations and they are now posted here. I regret having not documented more of these. Stations are very photo friendly, don’t have to wait or time the arrival of them, just show up and snap some shots. Thanks again Arnold.
Why thank YOU, Sir !! At least this stuff gets appreciated. I regret as well not shooting very many of them. If I had stopped for each station and group of grain elevators, I would have never gotten anywhere……..
