In case anyone questioned when the Bayview Walkbridge that is the viewpoint for so many photos as well as the location for the RP.ca pow-wows, here is an image taken on a bleak day back in 1975 as the bridge takes shape. Most of us, including me, actually; cannot now remember when this bridge wasn't there.

  1. The previous bridge, you could drive over,IIRC, it was not very wide or safe for standing there

  2. Thats right, sneaky snake. It was a rickety old ‘hump’ bridge, with iron railings, wasn’t it? I never used it to take photos from. Perhaps it was gone by the time I happened around there in 1974. Or perhaps it was because we all hung out being nuisances over at the junction instead.

  3. Talk about uploading a great photo at the right time! I know it’s not much to look at here Arnold. But after the most recent Bayview Meet, i dont think you could have picked a better time to post that little bit of a historic structure for all rail fans alike :)

  4. Thanks, Todd. I almost forgot about it. The idea of it all is the history. Plus the fact that the most popular shooting locations are rarely themselves photographed. Thanks to all you guys who appreciated this.

  5. I don’t believe you Arnold…you just had to get this particular pic in today, while you are at home during the rain, dreaming of your next breakfast run :) Tiffany says she’ll do your sausage(s)…. just right… next time!

  6. Yeah, because Chrissy is on holidays.
