Those are some serious bars on the windows. This caboose must make trips into the dangerous part of town on its travels.
Is that an old CN van?
It’s number starts with 79, paint sure looks familiar and Ontario Hydro had an agreement with CN that Hydro will provide equipment (which included SD40-2′s) to help with bringing coal from the west to the east. I’m guessing yes.
This one is an ex-CN, typically found with Ontario Hydro’s HEPX 200 Schnabel car. Curious what it would be doing by its lonesome, unless the 200 was around nearby too…
The 200 was around, it was being unloaded. It was too hard to get everything in one shot with the limited space available.
This van was once painted a rather dull yellow but now is this bright orange livery. I think the orange is much brighter and probably was changed to make it more visible
