That is quite the conversion of an old GP9. The only thing left that suggests Geep heritage on the units body is the radiator section at the back.
Herzog has a couple of dozen of these ‘ slot ‘ sets, as they call them. And yes they are usually converted from switchers and geeps. Very few of the core units are actually known. Many were converted by RELCo at Albia IA and have small builder-style plates with serial numbers. But there is no reference to the prior identity.
