Revoke his pension and give it to Luc Jobin.
My pension was earned from 36 years of railroading thank you.
Congrats!!! I hope you have your health!!!
Obviously Phil…
I’m making a joke about management.
@Alexander I know bud, was joking back at you
@Aw..yes my friend I am 57 and in very great health. Planning on living a VERY long time. LOL even more than the 36 years I gave t CN
If you draw runs on the Kingston Sub, I’ll see you at Newtonville most Saturdays and Sunday Phil.
I was at Georgetown on Saturday, were you on any of the CN trains that ran that day? I got a few waves and small horn honk from 435. Congrats again Phil !
@Mike..yes I will be on Ottawa Montreal runs while training, not sure when I am done ig I will be on that route as I will have all my weekends at 3 days
@trainguyMike. I was on a 271 to London on Saturday yes.
@ngineered4u 2849 solo ? that was me at Georgetown who waved as you passed by just before dark
Yes sir that was me. I spotted the locomotive right at the station in case anyone wanted to take pics. We followed 435 to Silver and had to wait for 394 before we headed to Aldershot
Ah ok. Thanks for the wave !
Very welcome
Phil…wasn’t long ago I got lucky in capturing my own moment of an engineer’s last run of a VIA train whizzing through Paris. I wish I was still living in the area to have captured your moment! Congratulations to you ‘engineered4u’..hope to see you down Chatham way sometime…VIA or not
Mr. Roach…you have captured a great photo. Cherish it – cause in today’s world of technology you don’t normally pickup any news of an engineer’s last run (I’m without a scanner myself)…:)
Todd – this was well telegraphed over the air…I think even before Phil left Mac yard mid afternoon- …there was foreman on the Dundas talking about it, the Oakville Yardmaster, 435 – who said they left a cake for him at Aldershot; another train..blurted something over the air, all for the big ham in the photo
This is a great pic. Enjoy your retirement sir. You definitely deserve it.
