In keeping with the current theme of things, here is another SW1200RS image. CP 8157, along with TH&B 51 (NW2u) and caboose has just made the trek up from Hamilton. This image is of it on the curve where the line meets the Galt Sub. Back then the line was referred to the Goderich Sub. Since the line thru to Goderich was taken up, the track as been referred to as the Hamilton sub. CP 8157 became CP 1243 in 1982, then dealt off to Louis Dreyfus Corp, a world wide company, as their 2003 in 1998. No idea where that unit is now.

  1. You can find answers to your question in Canadian Trackside Guide; to wit, Louis Dreyfus 2003 is based at the company elevator at Virden MB west of Brandon

  2. Is this the Goderich assignment Arnold? Did this consist go thru to Goderich? If I recall, the job was still running out of Hamilton in 1978. There was a Roadswitcher based in Guelph Jct, but it didn’t go south except in unusual situations like bringing a DL up to the Jct.
