DEPARTING BISHOPS FALLS. Terra Transport Caboose 6070, built in 1967 by National Steel Car of Hamilton for CN's narrow gauge Newfoundland division, is tacked to end of Mixed Extra 945 West on April 20, 1987. Upon learning that a mixed train service still operated on the Island railway, the photographer and his then girlfriend (now wife) left the capital city of St. John's to eagerly ride what was he believed was lost forever. Next to the caboose was coach 757 in which the two were the only passengers for the entire 138 mile journey to Corner Brook on that beautiful spring day.
