CP5532-CP5728 have just crossed Winston Churchill Blvd (Mississauga, Ont) and are about to crest the grade out of the Credit River valley at Mile 25 Galt Sub. When I lived in this area I was able to see the track at the Mile 25 detector out of the back window of my house. Westbounds were usually moving slow enough I could beat them over to Hornby. Then they built another housing subdivision behind me and blocked my view. So I moved.

  1. Oooooh i remember this crossing. I lived in Meadowvale in the mid 80′s and before they upgraded winston churchill to 4 lanes we’d get as much speed as we could and get “airborn” as the crossing was angled due to banked curve. My brother and I were huge dukes of hazzard fans:)

  2. Fantastic shot. I’m a couple minutes from here and I always love seeing how things change through the years. It’s pretty wild to see the trucks on the 401 without the Superstore and other business park blocking the view.
