NY4 passed under the bridge at Clanbrassil in May 1968. It was nice to see a pair of A units leading. The only thing that would make this picture better was if the lighting was on the nose of the lead loco. Unfortunately, NY4 is eastbound in the afternoon.

    Great photo. The stock car behind the power looks like it has seen better days.
    To pontificate for a moment, every time I see photo of the CASO, I’m reminded of how many potentially viable rail lines we’ve lost because of shortsighted public policy. Changes made to abandonment regulations made by the Mulroney gov’t in 1986 (or so) saw many lines ripped up in short order. Not all were branchlines.
