Beautiful shot! I was never fond of this paint, compared to the stripes but a C424 looks great in any paint
The units in this picture and the one with the 3211 leading that you posted today are awesome. In addition though, the tank cars, I find, are just as great. The one just behind the units in this photo is a real dandy. I would love to see its built date, I’m sure it will have been in service for a good number of years. Thanks for posting these.

We can pretty much presume this is 407/307 or possibly 491, bound for Sarnia. No marshalling restrictions back then, just put the train together and get outa town !
All four of those little tank cars still have their wooden walkways, with the oldest looking to be from 1937/1942 era.
