Further to commnets I made on another photo of two big units and a small one, the 8446 may have been destined for setoff at Woodstock, or it may have been coming off at London for a worktrain the next morning. RS-3s were common on worktrains at this time.
I worked the first 23 of my 37 years on CP starting in 1973, along this route and I really enjoy the opportunity to look back when I see photos from this era.
Looking at the bald head, I think that’s Earl Fitzpatrick or EWF. Worked there forever
bruce, it is Earl Fitzpatrick. He was a real gentleman. He passed away a few years ago.
