The now-defunct CN #144 trailer train tries best to impersonate the ribbon-rail it is polishing as it snakes downward toward Bayview Jct, about 4.7 miles out. This view from up on Dundas Peak, as much it is beautiful, requires either a good eye or an assistant with binoculars in order to pull in the engine numbers. On this day, I had neither.

  1. Spent many hours at Dundas watching trains in 1974-75. The small station was still there & some CN passenger trains still stopped there.

  2. The serene view now is a thing of the past. Unless you go on an inclement weather day, the place seems over-run with tourists.
