Not On The Wheel Report: Might as well finish off 2016 with something a little different. Before you say "What the.....", the story behind this is as follows: I was at the start up festivities of the Port Colborne Harbour Railway on one hot and sticky July morning (along with several others who contribute to this site), in order to do an article with photos for Railpace magazine. This was the Official Opening Day for the railroad and it brought out a fair number of local citizens and hobbyists to the location close by the old CN railroad station next to the canal. As well, CHCH was there to cover this 'historic' event. One of the local modellers found this a great opportunity to show his work, and as you can see he put in a dedicated effort. Definitely worthy of a photo. In order to showcase it correctly, well, we needed some track. And this was the best we could do. The PCHR mainline. I get to wondering if the modeller is a lurker of Railpictures.ca, as I never did get his name, and coming up to 20 years later he might see this image and identify himself.
