Caption: Sydney and Louisburg Railway 2-8-2 105 is pictured at Glace Bay in 1961, with an employee perched on top filling 105's sand dome from the nearby sand tower. S&L 105 was originally built for the Detroit and Toledo Shore Line as their 32 by Lima Locomotive Works in 1936, acquired by the S&L in 1954 and renumbered to 105. The coal-hauling road operated steam later than most and dieselized in the early 1960's, and as a result 105 was scrapped later that year in November 1961.

A very nice scene. I imagine not too many Lima’s operated in Canada especially out east. Thank you George and Bill for sharing.
Fine looking workhorse.
