I wasn’t aware that these monsters were used in Canada. They, along with a six axle trucked cousins, were given some interesting nick names… I believe pictured were call ‘H-bombs’ and the smaller (lol) six axles were ‘A-bombs’. Recall seeing them in the US often (Conrail in PA), but never Canada. Nice catch, Steve.
Apparently, this was not to only area where they were used (I don’t know the other destination of these cars), but this web site indicates that they were regularly used in Montreal, too.
