During the shoulder seasons the diesel isn't spun on the manual turntables as it's heavier than the steamer and there's at least one less crewmember, so return runs from Fairy Lake have the loco oriented butt-end forward. Not the best for photo opportunities, but it is what it is.

  1. Wayne, appreciated the recent series of four photos involving diesel HLBR 3 and, in particular, this well position photo. It has a true Muskoka feel with the rocks, water, colour and grade … real neat! We missed you on Aug 4th (haying) as a few G Scale Modellers stopped by for a steam ride to Fairy Lake Station … grab a few photos of HLBR 2 in operation and spinning on the neat, pint-sized turntables … and just chill out / visit at Rotary Village Station / museum.

  2. I love this shot. Great work.

  3. This is awesome!
