Caption: It was a new year and a fresh new start to a year ahead of railroad photography. I set my self up on the old roadbed that once lead to the long abandoned limestone quarry and spur at Kelso just west of Milton. Fresh snow from a storm the night before blanketed everything and as luck would have it, it also covered the set of SOO Line SD60s in charge of the day's train 153. The pair apparently battled the storm all night as they headed from Montreal to Toronto. The train was mainly empty baretables most likely due to the end of the Christmas holiday, with only a few loads on the head end. The year certainly started off on the right foot.
