CN 2244 and CN 5540 striped with additional power parade CN 710 high atop the iconic bridge structure over the Napanee River adding grandeur to the picturesque Springside Park and peaceful waterfall. In order to capture this angle to catch a eastbound and to include the whole of the waterfall, I camped (with permission) under shade on adjoining property owned by Gibbard Furniture, Canada's oldest furniture factory (at the time at least). Employees gained a new perspective that day respecting patience, nearby beauty and railfanning.

  1. Sad that Gibbards Furniture had to close. I believe they transformed the building into apartments…they made GREAT furniture. Having family in this area, and of course having railfanned it too…I have always found people are pretty lenient of you being on their property…whether you ask permission or not.
