I am a morning person and as such, I would do most of my railfanning then. But that was becoming somewhat predictable, so I decided to try my hand with the sun in the western sky. The problem with evenimgs in Edmonton is that there are so many summer days that start out clear but cloud up throughout the day, with rain at dinner time and diminishing clouds after that.
I caught #201 arriving at 50th in Edmonton - TOFT and pole lines. Domtar's blue building is still standing, also.
I would soon learn that most of CN hot trains would hit Edmonton in the early evening hours.
