Caption: More of my oldies: When the cheese factory was still a cheese factory, and when I frowned upon single unit wonders, CN train 144 passes by Ingersoll at 0857 on a beauty October morning. I do not frown upon this photo anymore. Photo notes: one of my few photos taken with the Nikon D100, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 at f/6.3 1/1250 ISO 200. I can't believe how primitive this 6 megapixel digital SLR camera was, and still is.. I used it for a week or two while my D70 was in the shop. All photos from this camera MUST be edited, nothing really comes out 'ready to go' without significant in-camera fiddling (curves, etc). How times have changed. OS notes: Four of the eight trains I shot on this day had SD40-2 leaders. Three more had SD75i's and only one GE. Today, you'd be hard pressed for a single EMD leader (except Locals - how times have changed, part deux)

Sweeeet!
The ol’ cheese factory building was always a great prop. Too bad now though, the trees are getting up and the sign is fading. Good thing you didn’t take that train for granted……
Nothing, Mr.M., should EVER be taken for granted; as you well know.
