So many things that go on with the railroads that I need explanations for. Here is another. What looks like a convenient and well-maintained crew change point for the CN at South Parry (Sound) is no longer. I took it for granted as being relatively permanent (big mistake) and next time I stopped in, all traces of it were gone ! Instead I found a train stopped at a portable trailer on the east side of the line about a mile south by James Bay Jct Rd and a crew change taking place there. And another time at CN Boyne, just around the corner. This image shows a better than average crew change stop. What happened? Parry area change eliminated??? Anyway, here is southbound CN 9502, 9479 and 5147 stopped in what I consider the better days.

  1. I believe that most Bala Sub traffic have become “Double subbers’. Toronto to Capreol and visa versa. That is probably why 450-451 got pushed onto midnights from their former afternoon sked.
