Caption: Here is an image of the CP station at Dryden when I visited 40 years ago. For some odd reason, or perhaps bad luck, I have been unable to find any information on this structure. I am under the impression it has long been leveled, but would appreciate any information on its' demise year or whether it was just a building that outlived its usefulness or was victim to vandalism. This photo taken near sundown. I understood the building at the far left of the photo was once a station as well, but again, cannot confirm. Map placing too is approximate.

Let me be the first to favourite this photo…and to comment all at the same time! Great shot Arnold…I think it’s this type of angle when photographing that really shows off all the architectural details. BTW – the track in the foreground…was it being removed at the time of the photo? Or do my eyes deceive me?
2nd star. Very nice picture – you were getting history then whether you knew it or not.
Thanks, Gents. Yeah, history; sad thing is I do not even remember anything about Dryden now. The track sure looks like it is being pulled; tie plates all over the place….I did not even notice that.:o( It was because I was more preoccupied with wondering who got the namesign on the end of the building.
Station is long gone. The building behind d on the left is still there. Used by a phone/ communications company I believe. Tracks are still there. This is our mainline! You southerners…….
Likely the steel gang was in the neighbourhood just like they are these days. Wonderful image Arnold, now I know what sat on this vacant lot all those years ago.
Appreciate the input, D.A.Y. If you think of it, see if you can find what the existing building was used for originally. Information is scarce for us ‘southerners’………and when you go by in your behemoth grubby GE, visualize all the activity there once was…
