Caption: After a chase spanning 2 days, this steam turbine is nearing it's destination, on Canadian soil anyways. This turbine, weighing 1,125,000 lbs, was shipped out of Babcock & Wilcox in Galt, on 20-axle schnabel car BBCX 1000. GEXR 516 hauled it to Georgetown, where CN received it, and took it to Stuart Street yard in Steel Town. SOR will be moving the car into the port, so it can be put on a ship and sent away.
Here we see CN 421 splitting the signals at Bayview Jct. with flatcar BBCX 1004, schnabel BBCX 1000, and caboose BBCX 1002 as they approach Stuart Street yard. After getting mostly cloudy shots, I was happy to get some sun in this one.
