cal, is this structure still standing?
Yes it is.
The roundhouse actually ceased to be used sometime in the thirties and power for the Wolseley mixed ran through from Souris. The mixed was called the “Peanut” by Restonians and I supposedly accompanied my mother on trips from Calgary to Reston, her home town by getting off of the “Dominion” in Wolseley and riding the peanut the rest of the way. Unfortunately that was when I was too young to take notice. There was a neat little book written by a fellow from the local newspaper (Reston Recorder” published back in the sixties I think and it is a very prized possession!
