I was lucky enough to be at the Victoria CP roundhouse when E&N (CP) 3004 arrived from Nanaimo. Many times I had watched the VIA cars cross over the turntable, but this was the first time I actually saw a locomotive being turned around on it. Once the locomotive was turned it picked up a few cars, headed back to Nanaimo. At the date of the picture, the roundhouse was only used to maintain the VIA equipment. The E&N took care of their equipment out in the open at Nanaimo. Today the yards in Victoria have been sold off, & all is just a memory.
