Caption: When the SD60 rebuild program was cancelled, I actually sighed a breath of relief. Shots like this would have become extinct, since all SOO sd60's would have been repainted CP by 2013. And thankfully a few of each SOO paint type survive. Campbellville is a pretty town, however 10 years ago this shot was grown in really badly... only in recent years has it become shootable again, but as you can see the vegetation grows quick.. and if you look back at Bill Thomson's (1) many shots (2) from the pond, it's been an issue over the last few decades. So thanks to Kevin Flood's inspiration on his shot of a SD60 at the pond the other day I made the trek to the pond for 147 for my one and only photo for the day. Worth the trip!
Photo notes: 50mm f/1.8 lens, at f/8, 1/2000, ISO 400, Nikon D800.

Nice shot Steve.
nice shot Stephen…..what would you have done if he was on the south track??
Nice Steve. Like the description Luck was definitely on my side that day.
Thanks guys. Snake Probably just shot him at the crossing, lots of curves in the rails to work into a shot. I knew he was on the north though.
What I forgot to mention is I had to contend with a hissing family of geese with chicks that have claimed the pond as theirs….. beware hahah
