And the reason you photograph MLW's? Smoke... plenty of it! Trry 108 chugs in a typical MLW groan while the crew lift 2 boxcars from WP Warebousing in St. Catharines.
Some folks have mentioned the former Interlake paper plant - which I've shot but never with a train - where are their boxcars going for transload? Is this warehousing company involved? See the other two previous shots in this series by clicking on 'more' beside my name. Photo notes: Most photos in this series employed use of a polarizer filter.

You can see the chugs of exhaust from the 1000 horsepower, inline 6 cylinder 251c engine in the plume. I also find the fresh and clean CN inspired cab paint pleasing - this engine is well taken care of by Trillium's crew.

  1. A Trillium Trilogy, by Steve Host…

  2. Unlike George Lucas, I don’t know if I’ll make to episodes 1, II and III, then skip ahead and do VII, VIII, and IX…

I think I have one or two more I may share here. Depends on what tickles my fancy. I’ll save a couple for later of course. :)
