Caption: Though I drove past Field BC many times, I believe this photograph was taken on a work related trip. The CP station & the roundhouse were easy to spot from the TransCanada highway, so I was like a bear being drawn by the scent of honey. Off the highway, & into town I went! I took around 5 pictures of the roundhouse remnants while there. This picture shows a typical column line through the building. Something you would not normally get to see. The white, black paint used in the interior of the building is typical for the CPR. Sadly there was not enough time, so I never went over to the station area.

James, to me it is a lot more sadder that I did not see THIS, but rather stopped at the station back in 1978. It is a long way to anywhere out there and I had to be at Nelson by dark. So, like you, no time. This is the first image of this structure I have ever seen and I am so disappointed it was there, and I wasn’t.
THANKS!! )
The museum possibilities… it sure looks like one!
