Caption: Railway crossing? During my OSR trip on April 30th (see my four previous photos) I took a detour to Zorra to shoot T69 who I heard switching the former St. Marys sub over the radio. While there, a farmer towing his tractor in a pickup truck ripped the gate off at Zorra, so the pictured Conductor had to move it to the side for the approaching westbound as well as for itself. The gate was simply off its hinge, and still flashing while lying on the track.
A rule 103 was quickly put in place and unfortunately for the crew and the RTC, I did not get the license plate of the offending farmer despite photographing the ordeal and a signal maintainer would have to come out to fix the crossing.
