Caption: CN SD50F 5526 and SD75I 5785 motor west through "old" Peel on #149, fresh out of the Brampton Intermodal Terminal. The train stretches out in the distance, under the busy Highway 410 overpass that evening commuters zip home over without a glance down.
The small yard hidden on the right once held autoracks for the old AMC Brampton Assembly auto plant at Steeles and Kennedy, where the Peel Village Industrial Lead once ended. It still serves three remaining customers. Before Highway 410 was built decades ago, Heart Lake Road ran in its place over the tracks at a lowly crossing (parts still exist as a service road).
