Caption: The village of Streetsville, Ontario was established by Timothy Street in 1858. During the period between the 1820s and 1840s five mills were constructed along the bank of the Credit river. Today two still remain but have been enlarged a few times over the years after water power was converted to electric. the Barbers wooden mill was built in 1843 just south of the Credit Valley railway mainline and was soon connected to the CVR main by a short spur that clung to the hillside above the river. fast forward to 2016 and the mill is still very active but was long ago converted into a flour mill. Today ADM owns the property and rail service here is daily, typically Monday to Friday by Canadian Pacific local train T14. On this bright but cloudy April Fools day, train T14 has a pair of GP20C's for power and the crew is busy juggling cars on the three short stub tracks here. After completing their work here the train will head to Streetsville yard where lead unit 2261 will be loft for the Orangeville Brampton RR as replacement power for their ailing GP9RM #4009.
