It's a beautiful Saturday morning in Toronto, an Xtra CN 546 from Oshawa has begun to pull into the TTR with a D3R transformer to be off loaded. The crew will tie the car down and head back to Oshawa to end their day.

  1. Did it go all the way to the docks? Damn Mike, this ain’t fair. Lol.

  2. Nice work Michael !!!

  3. Thanks ! Daniel, they tied down the car just south of me by Eastern Ave. and ran back to Oshawa light power. TTR has their own track mobile who will take the empty car down towards the Don for 543 to lift on Tuesday night.

  4. Thanks for letting me know. I’ve been avoiding the Portlands for a couple months now. About time I go back. Great shot btw!

  5. @CNCNCDR I came across this lovely CN daylight move in research for another photo on Oakville sub. It took me awhile to figure out here as you were saying the 546 came from Oshawa – Lakeshore East (Kingston sub). Then I looked again..it was on Bala sub!! ohhhhh… So it must have backed up on the Bala sub to drop the transformer on the 2nd track to the right. I don’t see anywhere there where there is room to offload a transformer..nor could a trackmobile take it to Portlands! Also, a trackmobile on a busy GO/TTR corridor? This one got my head scratching and I love there’s no map as I can research.. but some questions are to be answered here if you can remember that day. :) Very nice to say the least!
