Caption: A couple of matching engines lead a northbound CP freight over the French River. This 415 foot truss bridge was built in 1907 and set in place by a process known as incremental launching. Due to the deep water at the construction site, the entire structure was assembled on the north shore of the river and then launched across the span using a 32 horsepower Beatty hoisting engine.
