Great shot. Love the old telephone box in the picture. I remember when we used those to talk to the RTC. Good memories.
And some very amusing calls I suspect. Nice to see 4units on a train again…….
Oh some very interesting calls You can bet that 2 of those units were in idle.
Yes but you can pretend otherwise…..and pretend it’s doing 70+
Haha..ok we can pretend. LOL the 70mph can only be done on the Kingston Sub on certain trains
My dream is still that the government forced trans-provincial trucks onto the railroad with every half hour service from Coteau to Windsor at 70. No, really, I’m sober
Your running commentary here reminds me of when CP’s Ritchie was claiming the railroad could triple-track the GALT sub and take a lot of trucks off the 401. Nothing happened. The trailers are gone west of Hornby. Maybe HE wasn’t sober. )
Haha Dave, a wonderful dream my friend. If only it was reality!
I was thinking 4 tracks the whole way. Premium service on the inner, pedestrian on the outer. Truck and trailer together with rest coaches behind the engines for those that couldn’t handoff to a fresh driver at the other end. 100 car maximum. Then again, I think all oil should be shipped by rail because that actually creates jobs.
