Appearing out of the fog, glowing yellow with the rays of a morning sun, CP 246 roars upgrade toward Guelph Junction. While the engines may get a bit of a reprieve once they reach the Hamilton sub, the use of dynamics for the Waterdown hill and one more upgrade assault of the escarpment through Stoney Creek to Vinemount are yet to come. Not a problem for this DC-AC combo, a favourite of the CP power planning department, SD60's are a regular thing on trains to and from Buffalo and a nice break from the usual GE monotony.
