Caption: On a beautiful early spring morning, CP #230 Sudbury to Welland steel train is photographed southbound on the Parry Sound trestle, high over the Sequin River mouth. At this time of the year the east side of the bridge is sunlit until around 0830. I am standing on the old CN industrial line bridge, now converted to a walking/biking trail route. And the image is captured using a Mamiya 645E, 400 ISO 120 film. Nice lashup on this train; SOO 6049 leads UP 1972 (x-Cotton Belt) and CP 5625. At this time, counterpart to this daily train was #231. The traffic is now handled by 246/247. In the background one can see the Island tourboat, moored at the Town Dock.

Thanks. The weather and environment around Parry Sound that day certainly rated a “10″.
