This caboose has seen better days and was formerly in Tottenham. It sits adjacent to the former CPR Brechin station on the Georgian Bay and Seaboard right of way. It occasionally gets some work on the side facing the parking lot and was getting new siding the last time I went past it in 2015.

  1. This beautiful old caboose was probably built by apprentice system carpenters of French ancestry. You will never find work like that again, in any railroad system. Advice: Cut away the creeping vines, replace rotting wood with appropriate lumber (not plywood). Seal the roof with the correct sealant, and keep it painted in its original scheme. Once weather and vandals have taken their toll, you’ll not get her back.
