This picture was taken on my first trip to Nelson BC in Oct 1981. For a fall day, the weather was great! This picture was taken from the side of highway which sits at a slightly higher elevation then the CP yards. Lots of activity going on. Never saw an FM unit, but did catch a "B" unit near the newer locomotive shops. The picture has a lot of lost history in it.

    In the mid-70′s when the FM/CLC fleet was rounded up and retired, CP ordered a bunch of FP7/F7B/GP9 units to be transferred to Nelson as replacement power.
