SD60M 6262 is wasting no time in the charge of train 255 as they make track speed for Wolverton. With the sun having nearly completely set, I pulled a photographic hail mary. As the train was finally coming I decided there wasn't enough light for what I wanted, so I set ISO down to 250, threw the F/stop to about F/10 for 1/125s and as the train rolled by, zoomed the lens from 200mm to 100mm hoping to get something sharp and got four or five frames off. Only one was sharp, this one at 145mm.

  1. Great shot Stephen!

  2. Thank you. I think this photo appeals, solely, to the photographer-types here on rp.ca.

It’s a challenging technique and i’d encourage all young kids to give it a try, but then you take the risk of blowing the shot :)

That’s the reason why I do it. :)
