I concentrated around Dundas' Mile 2 in the spring of 2007 on account the CN had just done some major work in shoring up the trackbed here; and I wanted to get my fill of what I thought was a great curve while it was still possible. Nice and open. A few short years and Ma Nature filled this in to the point that now, in the summer, it looks like a jungle. Maybe it is just my preference; virtually no one else bothered to shoot here. This was a nice collection of power. Too bad CN grabbed a page out of the CP Handbook and put a grubby leader on it. CN 2411 leading UP 9439. BNSF 548, WC 6910 and 6925 with train #384, Flat Rock MI to Mac Yard.

  1. Nice picture of that stack train.

  2. Such a great shot. It for sure has been taken over by mother nature in that area!

  3. Thanks, Paul. I tried doing some manicuring the following year, but to no avail. The thicker of the bushes you see in the picture are wicked thorn bushes; and they grow like, well, weeds.
