Caption: CN 330's daily tankers streak past what once was a busy Merritton yard. The yard is still used by Trillium today, but only to connect to the Grantham Spur, and on rare occasion, such as in a CP strike, Trillium will drop off cars for CN to pick up. Merritton is a maze of switches, and much less of an actual yard to store cars, so it's no surprise it is not used for storage. As for CN 330, it has almost climbed out of the grade at Glenridge, which has long been notorious for trespassers. Due to trespasser fatalities in the area, the pedestrian level crossing at the bottom of the hill is a horn zone, which the residents of Glenridge reluctantly put up with. 330 is about 75 cars long tonight, about the average, which should be no problem for it to climb up the hill to Niagara Falls.
