Caption: The perfect way to end off the year. A pair of MLW's, smoking it up. On it's first day back in service after air compressor problems back in October, OSR 181 is leading it's MLW sister 505 southbound at Victoria Rd. The train just picked up 2 tank cars from lower yard 1 at PDI Elizabeth for PDI Bulk Liquid storage/transfer (formerly Huntsman Chemical) just south of York Rd. The train departed PDI Elizabeth (seen here) and switched out the tanks into the main liquid yard, and into the 2 storage tracks next to the main.
Note the fading CPR lettering on the crossing signal. a holdover from the days of the CPR Goderich Sub. It's interesting how this former CPR line, is now operated by ex. CPR locomotives.
Thanks to engineer Peter for the smoke show.
Happy New Year to all the railfans.
