This is the same Exshaw turn pictured crossing the Bow River, but now it is at Kieth Yard. It appears to have dropped the bulkhead flat full of what looked like raw ties in the yard in the background. It then picked up a few tank cars. 
Obviously, the RR's weren't quite as protective of their property back then when common sense and personal responsibility were more prevalent.

  2. I don’t know the exact details, but Canadian Trackside Guide indicates that it was chopped and rebuilt into either the 1512-1652 or 8200-8241 series within a few years.

  3. Beauty shot Steve. Apparently the unit became St.L&H 1625, with RC controls, and mated with slug 1010. The 1625 was retired in May 2013 (1010 retired in July 2012).
