Peter: You had more than luck. Those K-1000s were not only one of the best cameras out there, they were very very popular. I went thru 4 of them. Had I not been so damn clumsy over the years, I might have made good with just the one.

You’re right, Arnold, it was a great camera. That said, the little built-in light meter still required a lot of interpretation in unusual lighting situations. In fact, I only took two photos inside the roundhouse (I previously posted the other image). I was hedging my bets that day and figured I’d have better luck outside. Film costs and processing fees were a big deal when I was sixteen!
In retrospect, I haven’t seen many photographs taken inside this building. I wish I had taken more. The structure is pretty fascinating.
